Clinical Academic and Honorary Appointments

 

This website has been developed to provide information and direction on the Clinical Academic and Honorary appointment policies and procedures of the School of Medicine.

Who are Clinical Academics?
Clinical Academics are Clinicans who contribute to the teaching and/or research programs of the School of Medicine.

Who are Honorary Academics?
Honorary Academics are non-clinicians who contribute to the teaching and/or research programs of the School of Medicine.

More informarion about the various levels of appointments can be viewed at the Policy and Criteria documents below.

Appointment entitles a clinical or honorary academic to a number of benefits including access to any available University discounts and access to the library, University network and Internet for University purposes.

All applications should be discussed with the relevant head of discipline in the first instance.

Process for Applications
Applicants should complete the appropriate form from below and have their relevant Head of Discipline complete the required section of the form and return the complete application to the Manager Administration Services at the School of Medicine. Details are below.

All applications will be treated as strictly confidential.
